Character INFORMATION
Name: Cubia
Age: physically 17-18, in reality, a few weeks old (created at the time the Twilight Bracelet was born)
Canon: .hack//XXXX
Point taken from canon: End of canon! Post-"death".
Personality:
Born from scrap data, Cubia had a pre-existing role all planned out for him. Destroy the Twilight Bracelet, his mother, Morgana told him. However, Cubia knew if he did this, he would end up destroying his very existence. Hurt, bitter and resentful towards human-kind, Cubia instead began to plot out a counter-plan in order to insure his continued existence. Despite these negative feelings, Cubia has a deep love for The World, appreciating every little detail and flaw. To him, the World is something to be treasured and to be protected and he would do this at any cost to himself as long as the World he loves is safe. Even the scrap data, junked items of the World held value to Cubia.
Cubia's first real contact with humans was a boy named Kite, who was the possessor of the Twilight Bracelet. Masking his true feelings with kindness, smiles and a valuable source of information, Cubia lent his aid to Kite. However, Kite treated Cubia as a human being, something that often caused inner confusion to Cubia himself. Despite his immense knowledge on the World, Cubia has zero understanding of human needs and behavioural patterns, often freezing or staring at the simplest of gestures (from a bro-fist pump to sleeping etc). Still, Cubia keeps his bitterness and cynical attitude as a shield for people who see the worst in him and uses Kite to achieve his goal of living. Only towards the end, does he realize that it wasn't living that he craved so much... it was acceptance for who he was. And when Kite gave it to him, despite knowing Cubia was a rogue AI, Cubia died, saying goodbye to Kite who he loved and the World whom he treasured beyond himself.
History: History
Persona Type: information-gathering skills.
First-person Sample:
Ah, is this working? Oh good, there we go! Hi, I'm Cubia! It's nice to meet you all. I guess you're my new party. I can't wait to get to know you all better. I'm really experienced in the World so don't worry about a thing. I've got your back! But you better listen, all right? Okay, I'm going to attach the details of our first mission in this email, so don't be afraid to ask me any questions later. This mission is vital, especially for first-year gamers. Haha, sorry I didn't mean to start scaring you! Really, everything's going to be fine if you listen to me. You will listen right? Because really, I don't have time to waste on you.
Now what was I saying... oh right. So we'll meet up here and head up down to the Level 1 playing field. And if the monsters look bigger than you think they are, don't worry.
I'll have your back!
Third-person Sample:
How does death feel to an AI? Cubia brushed his legs and looked at the horizon. It was the same place he took Kite, where Kite promised they'd play together. He felt a slight pang in his chest and brushed it aside. Not like that matters anymore. Right now, he had to hide. From everyone. If Aura was in control of the World.... she would hardly tolerate his existence. A bitter laugh rose from his throat. Tolerate his existence... who did?
Kite did, he thought. Kite knew. ... Kite still cared. And it was too late to say anything otherwise. The Bracelet was gone and... he vanished. He touched his forehead. His headpiece that used to be there was gone. Where did it go? Did Kite take it? He shook his head. Again, he was leaning towards frivolities. He needed to escape. Even if it meant leaving the World, he had to find a place for himself.
He had to live. His hands tightened into fists. No one else is going to care about that, but him.
PENDING
You need not write out an entirely new application, though. A simple restatement of the necessary section will do. Again, thank you for your interest. You have three days to revise your application.
Re: PENDING
At first-sight, Cubia seems like a nice enough person. He smiles a lot, he seems to be very helpful and handson for anyone who might need him. Even if the extent of his knowledge makes one wary, Cubia looks to be a typical nice player, always ready with help and an answer. However, that's simply to disguise Cubia's constant battle for his own survival. He looks down at humans for being easy fooled by appearances but at the same time, he doesn't understand that human compassion isn't limited to the real, that it even extends to people like him -- scrap data.
Bitter, cynical and angry, Cubia's disguise falls when his plans go awry or when he's desperate. Only at the end, Cubia realizes that he wasn't simply looking to live, but he was searching for something more important -- acceptance for being scrap, for being a weapon, for not having a point to his existence. That being said, humans still won't get his respect, but Kite will always be Cubia's other half and the most important to his life.

Character INFORMATION
Name: Oerba Dia Vanille
Age: 19 physically, 519 chronologically.
Canon: Final Fantasy XIII
Point taken from canon: Post-game.
Needless to say, there will be unmarked Final Fantasy XIII spoilers to follow.
Personality:
Despite often being compared to perky characters in the Final Fantasy series such as Rikku or Yuffie Kisarigi, throughout the game Vanille becomes more and more reminiscent of characters such as Yuna and Tifa Lockhart; serving as the game's narrator, Vanille remained one of the more mysterious figures in the main narrative, somber and perhaps more serious than anybody could have imagined.
Outwardly, Vanille is the ray of sunshine in the soap opera drama that is Final Fantasy XIII (not that she's immune to the drama; she caused most of it, after all!). She's constantly smiling and attempting to cheer everybody up despite the fact that all of them are basically persecuted fugitives from the law; Barthandelus' main goal was to make the protagonists devoid of any hope whatsoever in order to drive someone to become Ragnarok, and Vanille held onto hope until the very end.
While her cheerfulness isn't exactly a false mask, Vanille does use it to cover up more or less everything; when Sazh was beginning to doubt things, Vanille attempted to distract him by telling him to run, as fast and as far away as he could. When with Hope, Vanille continues this trend by being compassionate and encouraging to him, and rather than focusing on her own problems she insists that Hope find a way to tell Snow exactly how he feels (little did she know this would eventually drive him to try to kill Snow; meh, what can you do?).
However, with Fang in the picture, Vanille shows a little bit more of her true self; Vanille, in Fang's presence, is shown to be a bit more demure than her usual chipper self. This is in part because Vanille knows that Fang suffered in the past by becoming Ragnarok herself, and that her amnesia was a chance to start all over. Unfortunately, Fang's enthusiasm to try to do everything and anything to fulfill Vanille's Focus lead Vanille to make the biggest mistakes in her life, and Vanille had nobody to blame but herself. That overwhelming guilt was what made her so eager to hide the truth and cover everything with lies, even if it had good intentions.
Luckily, by the end of the game, Vanille learns to share her burdens and trust her companions instead of taking on everything onto her own shoulders, and makes a confident sacrifice to save all of Coccoon, which was persecuting her and her friends throughout the entire game. She becomes a capable young woman with a strong resolve.
As for odds and ends, Vanille is shown to enjoy things which are, in her own word, "naturey", and she's also showcased a rather stubborn streak; the bear skin she wears around her waist was from a creature she brought down herself, after all. Despite her usual tactics of denial to make herself and others feel better, this aspect of her personality is toned down at the end of the game, though old habits do tend to die hard...
There is speculation that Fang and Vanille are romantically inclined, and the fact that Fang was initially written as a male character tends to lend weight to the shipping tendency amongst debate. While it is certainly possible, I will not be playing Vanille as having any romantic inclination toward Fang should anything arise.
She speaks with an Australian accent, though she doesn't use any of the Australian rhetoric. As such, I will not be typing out her accent.
History: The first time I ever linked to a wiki article for this section.
Persona Type: Healing.
Vanille's Eidolon is Hecatoncheir, which is an Earth-elemental and physical fighter, and Vanille also has concentration in the roles of Medic and Saboteur; a Saboteur is basically a debuffer. If possible, a Persona with not only healing abilities but also a few debuffs and a physical skill here and there would be great, since Personas 3 and 4 don't have Earth-elemental skills.
First-person Sample:
Oh, wow, this place has some impressive technology, too! Well, it's nothing like on Coccoon, and Gran Pulse had its own thing as well, but... it's something nice to keep in contact with each other, isn't it?
It is a bit eerie, though; where are all of the people? It's almost like being on gran Pulse all over again... they couldn't have all just simply disappear!
Cheer up, everyone! I know we're trapped here, but there has to be a way out! There always is! Who's with me?
Third-person Sample:
Being back on solid earth? That definitely felt nice. Taking off her boots and feeling the grass between her toes, Vanille gave a nice, relaxing and satisfying sigh, taking in the fresh air you simply couldn't replicate in the artificial Coccoon. Sure, Coccoon had fun places like Nautilus, but their chocobos were pansies compared to the majestic beasts of the Archelyte Steppe! Then again, the people of Coccoon were pampered... the small instances of filial piety displayed through Lightning's concern for Serah, and Sazh's concern for Dajh, though, made Vanille realize that it wasn't necessarily their fault.
Turning around, she realized that her new companions were still taking a while to catch up with her. She's been through so much... and hopefully? It would all be over soon enough. She simply had to keep up a chipper attitude; being back on the natural Gran Pulse was definitely helping. Fang didn't seem to recall anything, and the worst of Sazh finding out about Dajh was over with. They all made a promise, together... and all that was left was to make sure that Fang would survive and live a good, long life. Even if it was without her.
"Hurry up, you guys!" Vanille jumped up and down, waving at her friends. "Last one there's a rotten egg!"

Character INFORMATION
Name: Akira Udou
Age: 16? ( it isn't given in canon, but he's "underage" )
Canon: Air Gear
Point taken from canon: Around chapter 92
Personality: Akira is introduced as the leader of a crazystrong A-T team called Behemoth. Behemoth was a frillion members strong and had the reputation for crushing other teams. Akira also had earned the name Super Beast. With all of these intimidating titles you'd think that Akira was some kind of badass, right?
Well, that depends on how you define badass. Despite his longest, and first appearance, in Air Gear being as this Super Beast figure, that's pretty atypical for his behaviour. Akira isn't a leader, he's a follower. He's able to lead, but it puts a lot of stress on him and he takes it very seriously. Super seriously, even. While he was the leader of Behemoth his personality really closed down, he didn't really smile and his speech was filled with metaphors about hating birds and beasts with long fangs.
Underneath it all, though, Akira is really just a big dork. He likes to have fun, and he's kind of simple minded. He's the brawn part of a brain and brawn team. Akira's the kind of guy who if you tell him to jump, he'll do it and maybe think about it later. He's also a nice guy though, and feels bad about things like crying girls.
In some ways, Akira is an average dude. He sticks up for his friends, he likes to not work overtime, and has a pretty good sense of humor. On the other hand, he's also got a pretty special world view. Akira is someone who works very well near opposing forces. His boss is a volatile man who likes to shoot and whip people as means of communication and Akira is more than perfectly happy with his job. ( He doesn't beg to be beaten, or claim to like it, but he is much more of a complete person when he's working under the gun, so to speak ) When left to his own devices Akira's a little lost. You could say Akira's defining trait is unreasonable loyalty.
History: Here is the wiki, but it looks a bit sparse so I'll try to fill in.
Back in the day, Akira was part of a special SWAT team that specialized in the control of A-T ( Air-Treck ). His best friend was Wanijima Agito and his boss was Wanijima Kaito and it was a fun bang up job. Quite literally. Except one day Akira makes a mistake and takes down a guy who he thought was going to attack a girl. Whoops, turns out that guy was her brother.
This starts a chain of reactions, most of which are Akira falling in love with Ren Fah ( the girl ) and pulling away from his job/Agito. The end reaction of this is Ren Fah revealing that she was using Akira to get at a rare A-T piece -- the Fang Regalia, which Agito had. Instead of ditching Ren Fah like a sensible guy, Akira stood by her and fought Agito for the Regalia.
This results in a win for Akira ( it's heavily implied Agito threw the fight, but who knows ) and the forming of Behemoth. Simca gives Akira ( and Behemoth ) the task of being a sort of quality control for teams trying to move up the rankings. Which works really well for a while! Until Minami Ikki and his team Kogarasumaru ( which Agito is on ) come by for a challenge. Ikki's team wins, Agito gets the regalia back and Akira is "arrested" by his former boss. And by "arrested" we mean Akira basically gets rehired.
Persona Type: Akira's strength. If he were in P3 his arcana would probably be Strength or the Tower. His 'battle aura'/'shadow' is represented as either a lion or this crazy huge beast thing.
First-person Sample: Woah. Hey. I'm really sorry about that. I mean, yeah I was going to have to arrest you anyway. But the whole car breaking thing was an accident. If you hadn't decided to bolt out like that, I wouldn't have ... right. Enough talking, you're under arrest!
Third-person Sample: It wasn't that Akira couldn't drive. He didn't have his license, maybe, but it was hard to argue with Kaito. Even other police didn't want to argue with Kaito. Really, the problem had nothing to do with driving, Akira's ability to drive or the car ( he did wonder if their department was just too cheap for sirens, or if Kaito had shot them off one day ). It was really that instead of saying "Turn left!" Kaito tended to shoot one of those rubber bullets he was so fond of at Akira's face while he was driving.
"Kaito-san, I think we should talk about this." Akira started. He really meant to breech the subject delicately. Perhaps bring up how it's much harder to steer when you've let go of the wheel in shock to put a hand over the stinging welt on your face. Or mention how it's hard to see the road when a bullet bounces off your cheek.
Of course, Akira knew, Kaito wasn't very big on the seeing from other people's perspectives thing. It was one of his shortcomings. Akira usually didn't have a whole lot to complain about, but every now and then he wondered if his boss could use some therapy. Or, like right now, a hearing aid.
"Kaito-san," he tried again.

Character INFORMATION
Name: Tohru Adachi
Age: 28
Canon: Persona 4
Point taken from canon: Post-true end.
Personality: If one were to describe Tohru Adachi with a single sentence, your best bet would be "there's more to him than meets the eye". He's a classic trope of a minor character becoming a major character, of a nice guy becoming a villain, of an incompetent cop. And yet, despite his transgressions, he's a tragic character, too - a man who had a decent life but threw it all away because it just wasn't enough.
From the first time he appears in the game, it's evident that Adachi has a lot to learn in his new line of work - police investigation. A seasoned cop wouldn't even bat an eye at the murder scene of Mayumi Yamano, yet it appears to affect Adachi to the point of physical illness, immediately giving the player the impression of a guy who doesn't really know what he's doing. His superior, Ryotaro Dojima, never fails to remind the player that Adachi is a rookie, either. Adachi seems to resent his position ("I'm [...] the guy who's been your dad's slave since spring"), but his attitude is carefree and lighthearted nonetheless. Besides assisting Dojima at crime scenes and in the office, he's also the errand runner and often gets stuck with the grunt work, something he usually complains about when he encounters the protagonist around town, but despite his complaints, he's able to joke around with Dojima and takes his orders with good nature.
That's not to say that Adachi does his tasks well, because one of his defining traits is being a royal screw-up. Somehow, the investigation team is always randomly encountering him around town, and Adachi can't seem to keep his mouth shut when it comes to details on the murder case. His behavior prompts more than a few headaches for Dojima, who chides him to take his work more seriously and not leak details on the case to his nephew and friends, even if they are people he trusts. It's suspicious, how he keeps making the same mistake over and over; it's almost as if Adachi's trying to push the team toward a certain end, and despite appearing oblivious, it's obvious to the player that he picks up on the investigation team's true involvement quickly and appears to gently nudge them or let them know what's going on. You'd think this would strike a chord or two in the protagonist or his friends...
But he's just an idiot, right? A forgetful, overeager rookie who can barely remember what his superior likes in his morning coffee. And despite his cringeworthy mistakes, Adachi becomes someone the protagonist - and player - can trust. He was purposely given endearing traits, like his goofy sense of humor and loose lips. When the topic of conversation is something other than the murder cases, Adachi is usually found wearing a smile on his face, and he is fairly talkative, if a little rushed and in a hurry when the conversation turns in a direction he doesn't want to go. This lighthearted attitude gets him in trouble at times, especially with his boss.
Along with everyone else at the time, Adachi seems convinced that Namatame is the killer they've been seeking for months, and is content to close the case with his arrest. However, the investigation team is hardly satisfied with this answer, and shortly after Nanako makes a miraculous recovery from a near-death state, the pieces fall together, and suddenly the kids realize that Adachi's habits are rather suspicious indeed, and a haughty confrontation with him in the hospital gives us our first glimpse of his true self.
It turns out that every kindness, screw-up, and endearing little quirk are part of an elaborate facade to cover his tracks and the fact that he's the killer. The real Adachi is a far cry from the blundering nice guy he pretends to be. Perhaps the most interesting trait he hides is his intelligence. While he admits that the original murder was an act of spontaneous rage and that scapegoating Namatame was part of a mere stroke of luck, he was smart enough to use his job to his advantage and convince Namatame to do his dirty work - not to mention the fact that he's apparently a good enough actor to pretend like he's absolutely clueless. Adachi weaves a tangled web of lies without doing much at all; once he figures out the extents of his power, he uses it and is able to successfully cover his tracks. He's far from an evil genius, though, and eventually, his own slip-ups become his downfall.
Adachi actually resents being treated like he's less than his colleagues, and a lot of that bitterness comes from his transfer to Inaba, which we find out was a disciplinary action for a "mistake" he made while working with the police in the city. Whatever that mistake may have been, he clearly thinks his skills and value are far beyond what a small town can offer him. And truthfully, he's got a big ego problem, particularly when it comes to work and women.
The most disturbing things about Adachi are not all the lies and deceit, but rather, the methods and circumstances behind the murders of Mayumi Yamano and Saki Konishi. He deludes himself into thinking that a television reporter he's never met would be interested in him, to the point where he tries to force himself on her when she rejects his advances. With the first attempted rape and murder, we get to see a glimpse of his lust, and one thing that sets him off: rejection. His tongue is razor sharp and he proves just how much of a cynic he is: he's convinced that the reason Mayumi and Saki turn him down is because he's not famous or wealthy. (It couldn't possibly be that they would have no reason to be attracted to a man they don't know who has about as much skill in seduction as an angry bull! His narcissism is showing.) He's got some serious anger issues concerning the fairer sex, perhaps the result of some negative experiences in years past. However, it'd be unfair to say that he's a horny sex fiend; while he certainly had sexual interest in Mayumi and Saki, it's clear that his rape attempts were more about gaining power and control than finding a quick and easy way to get off.
Adachi feels like he lacks control in his own life, when in reality, he has as much power to change his situation as any of us do. Dojima certainly gives him a hard time, but he is not constantly breathing down Adachi's neck giving orders - and hell, Adachi's job would be a whole lot easier if he hadn't started this damn thing in the first place. He feels trapped, smothered by the expectations society seems to have for someone like him, and the murders are his way of lashing out and sticking it to The Man, proving that he's got power over his own life and the lives of others. And maybe it's because of this that he has an air of superiority about him, especially when he talks to the investigation team. He's only ten years older than they are, but he insists that they could never know anything about what the "real world" is like for adults. According to Adachi, the "real world" blesses only a lucky few with talent and wealth, and the rest of us are doomed to a life of boring mediocrity. Adachi's contempt for boredom is what started his whole "game", as he calls it - after the initial shock of having killed someone wears off, he decides he likes the way events are unfolding and that it'd be fun to watch these bizarre deaths happen over and over while he lurks in the shadows. At the climax of his "game", he squeezes the last bit of fun out of the team by trapping them in his dungeon's labyrinth and throwing obstacles their way. Even when he was playing up the nice guy act, he enjoyed his laughs; they only become cruel later.
If you want to reduce him to fewer words, Adachi's a selfish, aggravating, entitled, misogynist jerk with a hunger for power. Power in his career, power through sex, power in the TV world; he wants it all and honestly believes he deserves it. But is he pure evil? Hardly. In the true ending of the game, he surprises the investigation team with a letter urging them to explore the deepest secrets of the mystery and offers them as much help as he can from his current position in prison. Adachi is not heartless. He is a human being who succumbed to the worst parts of his personality, leaving him a shell of a man and more unsatisfied than he was when his game began.
Despite his resentment for Inaba and its residents, Adachi does have a certain fondness for the Dojima family. In fact, Adachi's relationship with Dojima may be his most important one in the game - and it's one of his only ones that we get to see. They're partners, and while Dojima is constantly chiding him for his mistakes, it's obvious that he trusts Adachi; they banter back and forth, exchanging ideas and theories, and Dojima thinks him capable enough to take care of his work while he's in the hospital. This professional relationship becomes personal, and Adachi gets somewhat involved with the family, spending time with them outside of work at family dinners and the like. He never meant for Dojima or Nanako to become victims of Namatame's antics, and in the bad ending, the guilt over Nanako's death is powerful. All of the other victims were strangers, but being indirectly responsible for the death of his partner's daughter is something he never wanted. It begs us to ask him why it's acceptable to waste away the lives of strangers and not the lives of people he might actually care about, but it's enough proof that somewhere deep down, buried under a whole lot of issues and anger, he has a heart.
History: http://megamitensei.wikia.com/wiki/Tohru_Adachi
Persona Type: Magatsu Izanagi and his accompanying skills.
First-person Sample:
[voice]
Hey, is thing on? [ A frustrated male voice rings through the receiver as he fumbles with it. ] – There we go. Y'know, this is a pretty nice place and all – when you compare it to where I was before – but I'm looking to get this damn thing off my neck.
[ He laughs quietly to himself. The voice becomes eerie and unpleasant. ]
Never mind how I got here, though I don't really care if I ever find out. Don't wanna jinx things by asking too many questions. You could've tossed me into a cage of lions and it'd be better than that place.
Nah, like I said before, my main gripe is this little bastard collar. It's weird, I can't seem to get it off, so I'd really appreciate it if someone would share the trick. I'm not really into the idea of looking like I'm someone's dog.
Third-person Sample: It's been a long time since he woke up from a dream with a grin on his face. Even if he could force positive thoughts, there was minimal joy to be found in the confines of his cell; the atmosphere kills it.
It's been an equally long time since he woke up in a bed that didn't feel like a rock with a blanket tossed over it. Upon regaining consciousness from his sleep, Adachi doesn't really want to open his eyes, since it had been such a nice dream, featuring a woman who lacked a voice, if he remembers correctly. Mutes can't say no, he thinks to himself. He's not up for being rejected in his fantasies, since there's plenty of that in his waking moments.
Adachi's thoughts are cut short when he comes to his senses and realizes that the prison bed has never been this comfortable, and his eyes jerk open to a foreign sight. There's no bleak gray walls or bars on the windows, and no cellmate snoring on the opposite side of the room. In fact, it seems that he's completely alone, sprawled out naked on a bed in a well-lit room with lavish furnishings. By instinct, he stops to look down at his own body, touching himself all over to make sure this isn't another dream. He absentmindedly strokes his upper body, until his hand reaches his neck.
Adachi blinks and immediately grips the foreign object tightly wrapped around him. Feels like a collar. Some kind of tracking device? When he spots a large mirror across the room, he steps out of bed to look himself over. His body is as lanky and pale as ever, if not moreso, worn down from the time he's already spent imprisoned. The only difference is the black and yellow collar around his neck, striped in a manner similar to that of caution tape. He tugs at it – then tugs a little harder – and traces the outline of it with his hands. There doesn't seem to be a buckle or release of any sort. Adachi grins uncomfortably at his own visage. Bindings don't suit him, whether they're collars, handcuffs, or shackles, and the sight of his own entrapment is enough to prompt the stirrings of rage in the pit of his stomach.
When he looks around again, though, he can't complain too much. A quick glance out the window and he's nearly floored by the sight of a place that looks nothing like the prison grounds, the city, Inaba, or even Japan. He's got enough intuition to know not to jump to conclusions – though if he did, his first one would be that this has something to do with the TV world. He'd never been able to shake the suspicion that something larger had been at work the whole time, because how else would one explain the existence of Personae and “a world inside the television” anyway?
He locates his clothes in a neat pile on the corner of his bed and dresses himself. A bath would be ideal, but he's used to living in filth these days and he's not sure what his options are at the moment. Adachi approaches the door that must lead out of this room and lays a hand on the doorknob, twisting it and pushing the door open. With an unnerving grin, he thinks to himself, “"Whatever comes of that mystery, it's got nothing to do with me."

Character INFORMATION
Name: Tsukino Usagi
Age: 16
Canon: Sailor Moon
Point taken from canon: Post-canon. (End of series.)
Personality: The first thing that is very noticable about Usagi is that she follows the clumsy/lazy school girl type very closely. She even describes herself as one many times in the series.
"I'm Tsukino Usagi. I'm just a little clumsy, and a bit of a crybaby. That's about it."
She is really clumsy to a point where even though she's a (mini skirted) soldier who has to protect the planet against monsters she always manages to even trip over her own feet and generally make the kitchen explode just by trying to cook. Because of this she isn't particularly good at house work and sports. She's not the smartest girl around, sometimes screwing up the most simple of questions (and always get a 30 on any of her tests at school), but she's not completely dumb and can be more intelligent when she just puts her mind to it.
The fact that she doesn't do well at school is not really because she's that dumb, but more because she tends to be lazy and not like school work. Instead she enjoys being more relaxed in lifestyle, she even says at times that are hobbies are ‘eating and sleeping', which is a pretty accurate description of what she likes doing most. She loves sleeping so much that she oversleeps nearly every day and usually runs late for school (which is a spectacle to behold, really). She cries easily, although this habit has lessened over time to a point where she can now face monsters generally without crying. Usagi is still pretty easily scared though, no matter how many monsters she has faced already, not to mention that's she's also very childish at times.
That's not all there is to Usagi though. The fact that she's also Sailor Moon and has had to fight for quite some time now has really changed her. She can now be more mature and serious when she has to be, sometimes displaying great maturity and courage while she's battling. She cares deeply about all her friends (her fellow sailor senshi and her ‘normal' friends) to a point where she would do anything for them or for this world. She hasn't hesitated at any time to save a friend, for example jumping off the Dead Moon's circus tent when it was high up in the air to save her falling daughter (from the future) Chibiusa.
Aside from her dislike of fighting because it's so scary at times she also dislikes fighting because she's a true pacifist at heart. Usagi almost never attacks first, she often doesn't even want to fight and instead tries to talk to people first, even when these ‘people' are enemies who have been proven to want to kill her anytime at the same time. She believes in the good in every person, even when that good isn't easily seen at the outside. Even when all her friends had died and the world was nearly destroyed she still refused to fight Galaxia, the one who had caused all of that, because she believed in Galaxia.
History: Easiest part of the application! \o/
Persona Type: Healing. Usagi is in general the one going around and always healing all the people / random monsters of the day in the series, so it fits. Her powers as Sailor Moon seem to be generally light based aside from that.
First-person Sample: W-what's going on with all these scary monsters? Do we really have to fight them? If they were less scary, it might have been okay, but.. Waah, they're really scary! And it's just me, too! I'm no good without everyone else to help me. These gun thingies are scary as well, why couldn't they have thought of something more natural or even fun looking? Like a banana! You see, things would be much more funny and so more cheerful if it was a banana instead of a gun, right?
This whole place gives off a weird feeling, anyway.. I don't like it here. Are we really stuck here? I'd like to go home! Mamo-chan is surely waiting for me, just like everyone else! They'll get worried sick if their Usagi is not with them, you know!
Maybe I can give it a try if the food is any good around here—
Ah, wait, I get it! This is a joke, right? Everyone, it must've taken you a long time to set up a joke like this, but it's alright! I get the joke, so you can all come out now and we can laugh about it!
... Please?
Third-person Sample: Today wasn't going to get much better than this. That was the one thing Usagi had figured out by now. She was happily digging in on a super triple chocolate vanilla sorbet. As one would look out of the windows there wasn't a single cloud in sight as the sun brightly shone upon the city. The spot opposite of hers at the table was still empty, but would be filled soon by someone very dear to her. A part of her really wanted this kind of life, the kind of life where you didn't have to worry about an enemy or monster popping up every other day. But another part of her knew that this was her destiny, that she wanted to protect this planet and everyone on it.
As she licked a bit of chocolate ice off her spoon, Usagi glanced around the small cafe. People were happily chatting all around. It all made even more of a good impression on this already perfect day. It made her wonder what the others were doing just days after the battle with Nehellenia. She figured that she should give an all-you-can-eat ice cream party sometime soon and invite everyone. She would have to figure out everyone's favourite ice cream flavour though, that might prove to be difficult! The question of how she was going to pay for all that ice cream hadn't even popped up in her head yet.
Just as she was wondering whether Ami's favourite ice cream flavour would be blueberry or something else entirely she noticed a very familiar face entering the cafe. That black hair, that face, there was no doubting it. Chiba Mamoru, prince Endymion in a previous life, the man she loved more than any other guy. As she noticed him, a big smile appeared on her face and she moved her hand up, waving at him to indicate where she was sitting. (Not to mention this was accidentally messing up a woman's coat at the other table, as her fingers were partially coated with ice cream.) "Mamo-chan!" She called out with that wide grin.
The guy looked up to notice the waving girl and smiled, walking over to the table. Mamoru sat down. "So, Usako, I'm sure you'd like another one of those, right?" He motioned towards the now-empty sorbet cup. The response he got was a large grin and an attempt from Usagi to nearly bend all the way over the table just to give him a hug.
Indeed, today was a perfect day.

Character INFORMATION
Name: Cho Hakkai
Age: 22
Canon: Saiyuki
Point taken from canon: Chapter 22, just after Goku rewrites Hakkai's lifeline
Personality: Unfailingly polite, neat, soft-spoken, and cheerful, Hakkai is a paragon of stability and compassion. Hakkai is the self-appointed "nanny" of the group, who makes sure everyone is comfortable and in (relatively) good health. He cooks well and keeps the supplies and inn accommodations in order. Of the four travelers, he is the most markedly domestic. He lived with Sha Gojyo for three years, apparently keeping house for him, since Gojyo "couldn't even remember when garbage days are." He moves deliberately and prefers to avoid violence. This isn't to say he is too complacent to be smart, or too laid-back to be brave. Never let it be said that he can't hold his own in a fight because he's quite strong, even when his darker side is bound by his limiters.
His powers of observation are astute, and his reasoning abilities have gotten the group out of trouble more than once. He has no weapon, preferring to channel his ki (spiritual energy) into offensive blasts, or into shields. He has great luck with gambling, and also seems to have a slightly mean side. He can deal insults with the best of them, smiling all the while, although under that smile lurks a darker side. Not even the stolid, dignified Sanzo is safe from his biting tongue. He's not quick to anger or frustration, but when it rears its ugly head, it's very obvious even to the thick headed Goku.
History: He was born Cho Gonou and was abandoned at a young age, left behind in an orphanage for a group of sisters to raise. He was a quiet, sullen child, preferring his own company and the company of his multitude of books over anyone in the orphanage. Time passed in silence for him, and at sixteen, he left the orphanage to enter the world. Deciding he wanted to be a teacher, he worked to learn what he needed, meeting a young woman by the name of Kanan (who, in canon, was a his older sister) in his later teenage years. As their love grew, his bare tolerance for children changed to acceptance, then enjoyment. He gained a job as a teacher in a town near where the two young lovers had settled and fell into what should've been a happy life. However, it wasn't meant to be.
Gonou arrived home one day, apologizing that he was late because he was playing with his students before he could even open the door but what he saw made the happy smile disappear; his and Kanan's home, ransacked and his beloved Kanan gone. We he went to the town elders, they told him they'd had to let another nearby demon clan have her to save their own lives. Gonou was furious hearing that since he and Kanan were merely orphans, he'd never understand. In a blind rage, he slaughtered the majority of the clan of crow demons that had been his and Kanan's neighbors. Still maddened by grief and rage, he tracked the clan of demons that had Kanan and broke into the home of Hyakugen Maoh, the demon lord in search of her. Once he found her, caged like a pet, he was elated, promising to protect her and eager to find a way for her to come home with him, but at that, Kanan's face fell. She pulled his knife from his belt and backed away, apologizing to him as she brandished the knife. Smiling thorough tears, she told him that her belly carried the baby of the demon lord Hyakugen Maoh, and after telling him goodbye, she killed herself before his eyes. Overcome with rage again, he killed every last man, woman and child of the Hyakugen Maoh clan.
All tolled, he slaughtered one thousand demons and according to legend, if a human bathes in the blood of a thousand demons, he'll become a demon himself. The legend proved true and Gonou was changed into a demon (and to this day, he has to wear limiters to keep his power under control). Of course, Gonou didn't escape uninjured. His belly cut wide open, he stumbled out into the night and started wandering, silently hoping for death to find him. He collapsed in the rain and didn't bother to struggle, thinking that his wish had come true.
Sha Gojyo happened to stumble across him lying in his path and with one look in his eyes, he took him home to stitch him up. Gonou was there for quite some time, healing and learning about his saviour, but he kept quiet about himself. He was thankful Gojyo didn't ask too many questions because he honestly didn't want the other man involved in his sins. Once Gonou was ready to leave, he sat down with his new friend and told him his story, but just as he was about to tell him his name, Genjo Sanzo showed up, on a mission from the gods to find the sinner named Cho Gonou. Gonou was able to escape after a scuffle, but the fight had reopened old wounds. It didn't matter to Gonou, though. He only had one more thing to do. On his way back to the stronghold of Hyakugen Maoh, he comes across a survivor of the crow demon clan he killed in the village, who tells him he ripped out the eyes of his brother before he killed him. In atonement, Hakkai reached up and plucked out his right eye, but when he tried to do the same with his left, he's stopped by Goku, who had followed him along with Sanzo and Gojyo. Gonou killed the crow demon and asked Sanzo for a little more time, stating he had one thing left to do. Sanzo grudgingly agreed and they went with Gonou, only to find Hyakugen Maoh's home razed to the ground. Stunned, Gonou felt that, yet again, he hadn't been there to take care of his Kanan, as he couldn't even bury her body.
Afterwards, he returned with Sanzo to face judgment and when Gojyo next spoke to the monk, he told him that Cho Gonou was dead, but in reality, Gonou was giving a chance to allow that life to pass on and take up a new name, and a new life, and so Cho Hakkai was born. Once Hakkai found his way back to Gojyo, he decided to move in with him, commenting that he had to since Gojyo didn't even know when trash day was. Sanzo and Goku went back to life at the temple, leaving Gojyo and Hakkai on their own until the monk was commanded to journey to the West, taking the other men with him.
Persona Type: Garu
First-person Sample: As usual, we're out of cigarettes again. I think it's Sanzo's fault this time, but I doubt he'd appreciate me telling him. More than likely, he'd try to pin the blame on Gojyo, and while I'm sure Gojyo helped him, I know it wouldn't be just Gojyo's fault. I suppose I could go fetch more for them tomorrow, but really, they wouldn't learn to ration them. While they're something easily carried during our little trip, I doubt Sanzo would want to stay put for as long as it might take to find enough to last both of them until we reach the next village, no matter how tired he still seems to be. One of these days, he's going to wear himself out and either collapse or kill Gojyo and Goku. Perhaps both. He always was good at multitasking.
Hm. Maybe the cigarettes are a good idea after all.
Third-person Sample: Thanks to the rain, they were able to stop for the night. Hakkai could've kept driving on in the rain, and sleeping wasn't something he'd had much luck with since he woke up in Gojyo's keeping, but Goku was fussing and that made Sanzo irritable, so before he could be told, he pulled off the road and set about looking for a place to camp for the night. Thankfully, it didn't take long to find a small cave that wasn't too damp, so they dragged their weary bodies into the darkness. It was a matter of minutes before there was a small, smoky fire burning away and after a few bites of the meager rations they had left, they retired for the night.
During the night, the rain shifted from a steady pattering to a deafening downpour; the only thing marring the constant noise was the sharp report of thunder every so often. Hakkai blinked hazy eyes at the flash of light preceding the rumble. He'd given up on sleep what felt like hours ago, choosing instead to settle himself just inside the mouth of the cave, a silent sentry keeping watch for dangers to his companions, as well as lingering a little on his own past.
Blood on his hands, his beloved Kanan before him. Why hadn't he made it in time...
"Oi, you alive, 'kai?"
The voice startled Hakkai out of his reverie, making him glance back at the familiar voice. Placid smile in place, he murmured a soft, "of course," before he stood and wandered a little closer to the fire, as well as his closest friend. "I've never been too fond of the rain, but it's not as bad as it used to be." Gojyo's sleepy gaze lingered on Hakkai's carefully blank face, his voice nonchalant as he mumbled, "better back home, though. Warmer."
The usual complains made Hakkai's smile curl a little higher. It was a little taste of home in a far off land, and for some reason, the brunette was silently glad the redhead was traveling with them, fights with the others notwithstanding. Without looking, he reached into the pack closest to his right hand, slim fingers picking out the ever present pack of cigarettes and moving to offer them to Gojyo. Blinking, the redhead took the offering, chuckling as he lit up.
"You're gonna make a great mother some day, 'kai."
Only Gojyo would be aware of the soft laugh from the brunette as he shook his head, tipping it back enough to peer at the ceiling of the cave.
"Some day? I already seem to have three sons. All of them problem children."
